ABOUT Sire: Million Dollar
In 2022, Sophie Hinners took over the reins of Million Dollar, and the pair had a successful season—achieving victories and top placings in the 3* Nations' Cup with the German Olympic Team: 2nd place honors in Mannheim, 1st in Bratislava, and 1st in Budapest. Unfortunately, a hernia brought the pair’s season to an early finish in July. Million Dollar recovered well and focused on breeding for the 2023 season. Million Dollar has three good gaits and a very convincing jump—scope, carefulness, and excellent impression—everything you would expect from his genetics. He completed his 30-day test in Schlieckau in December 2015 with a rideability score of 8.25 and a score of 9.75 for jumping ability. He was approved for Holsteiner breeding at the January 2016 licensing in Elmshorn. Million Dollar finished his sport test in Münster-Handorf with flying colors—scoring 8.8 for ability and overall impression, 8.5 for rideability and manners, 8.3 for canter, and earning a final grade of 8.57. Between the ages of four and six, Million Dollar became a series winner in young horse jumping ability classes at A to M levels under Ebba Johansson. For further promotion, he joined the training stable of Jos Lansink and, under Frank Schuttert (NED), campaigned to top placings up to 1.45 meters during his time in Belgium before joining Sophie Hinners’ training stable at the beginning of 2022.

His sire, Plot Blue, was an international superstar who remained at the top of the international show jumping world for many years—earning countless victories, medals, and Olympic team appearances. He competed at five Senior Championships, two World Cup Finals, and 23 GCT Grand Prix events, earning over €900,000 in prize money on the GCT Tour alone. Under his long-term partner Marcus Ehning, the pair won the Geneva World Cup Final, earned Team Gold for Germany at the 2010 Kentucky World Equestrian Games, placed fifth individually at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and achieved numerous World Cup qualifier placements.

His dam, Gin Tonic de Muze, was used exclusively for breeding, but his granddam, Daytone de Muze, was successful up to the 1.60m level under Belgian rider Jody Bosteels. His great-grandmother, Wallon de Muze, was also successful up to 1.60m under Michael Hécart, as was her full sister Walnut de Muze, under Harrie Smolders.

Tobago Z has it all—notably, his direct relatives are all top performers. His dam, Whoopie C, was a successful 1.60m horse under Yves Vanderhasselt and was praised for her extreme scope, carefulness, and quality. His sister, HH Donatella, campaigned internationally under Quentin Judge and Paola Amilibia. Tobago Z became the most successful horse of the 2018 GCL. In 2019, he was a three-time podium finisher in the GCL Grand Prix. The World Cup seasons of 2018 and 2019 were dominated by Tobago Z—he won the WC of Madrid and Bordeaux, finished 3rd in Amsterdam, and 4th in Leipzig.
