Baloubet du Rouet

Galant du Mesnil's Damsire, the legendary Selle Francais Stallion Baloubet du Rouet, was also approved for Holstein, Belgian, Oldenburg, and Hanoverian studbooks.

Baloubet Du Rouet was a stunning performer at the turn of the millennium, who dominated the Jumping scene for years with partner Rodrigo Pessoa. The champion achieved an unprecedented three-in-a-row in the FEI Jumping World Cup™ and then ensured immortality by riding with Pessoa to Olympic gold in 2004.

PF’s Galant du Mesnil, a 2016 Selle Francais Bay Stallion, was Fully Licensed in 2022 with the  Holsteiner Verband in Germany, N/N WFFS. Imported by Ryan Pedigo Sport Horses in April of 2022, this young sire exudes extravagant and tremendous quality, talents and pure class; coupled with a world class pedigree which elevates him to a stallion status of his own.

Galant's impressive lineage encompasses International show jumping sires -  Cornet Obolensky, Dam's Sire Baloubet du Rouet, and Jalisco B, to name a few. Prior to import, Galant had successfully competed in a variety of show jumping divisions throughout Europe, earning multiple wins, Championships and top placings. He most recently competed at the following venues: The Warsteiner Indoors Februarturnier, in Competition 3: Jumping Horses Class L & Class A - Competition Part 2 (Under top rider Stefan Leber), The Warsteiner Indoors - in the Dezemberturnier, Paderborner Jump into Advent event and The Warsteiner Indoors - in the Novemberturnier, Warsteiner Indoor Salzkottener Pferdefestival; to name a few.

Galant is a first-class young sire whose performance and pedigree speak for itself.  During his licensing in Germany, Galant wowed and impressed the judges with his outstanding scope, technique, style, athleticism, rideability, movement, temperament, good looks and overall impression. We are thrilled to welcome this young super star to our stallion line up, however, Galant will continue his show career in the US.

Sire, Cornet Obolensky, an acclaimed jumping star, captured Reserve Champion during the 2001 NRW Licensing. He continued in proving himself as a high performing athlete, notably winning Grand Prix's and National Cup's, such as Samsung Super League Finals in Barcelona, which he won on two grand occasions - under top rider Marco Kutscher. In 2008 he earned bronze at the German National Championships, first place wins in the Grand Prix competition at Balve/GER, and Cervia/ITA, with further wins at the National Cup competition at Rotterdam/NED, as well a member of the German Olympic Team in Hong Kong. In 2009 he captured a second place at the World Cup Jumping competition at Bordeaux/FRA, a third place in the grand prix competition at Rio de Janeiro/BRAZIL and placed well at the Global Championship Tour finals in Doha. Cornet Obolensky's sire, Clinton, has been considered one of the world's top show jumpers under the direction of top rider Dirk Demeersman/BEL. Cornet Obolensky's Dam sire, Heartbreaker, is just as well-known, as an Internationally successful show jumping legend. The great legacies continue, with Cornet Obolensky's Dam Rabanna and his Great-Grand Dam Holivea, both successfully earning top placings in S-class jumping competitions.

Galant's Dam Sire, the great Baloubet du Rouet's legendary status and legacy are life size. Under top show jumper legend and rider Rodrigo Pessoa, Baloubet du Rouet certainly was a dream combination, capturing endless grand accomplishments together. In 2000, the pair won team bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney and again in 2004. In 2001 their placement was very close to a fourth victory when they became vice-champions, winner on multiple grand prix competitions. Across the International Show Jumping Circuit he was the impressive three-time winner of the World Cup. He won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens, 2003 and in 2005 the Top Ten in Geneva. Furthermore, in 2012 and 2013, Baloubet du Rouet was leading sire of the WBFSH show jumping world ranking list.

Galant's Great Dam Sire, Jalisco B, is one of the most respected sires within the International sport horse community, his grand legacy lives strongly to present. Capturing multiple great accomplishments at the French championships and at the grand finals, winner of the Grand Prix in Paris in 1983 and placed on the selection list for the 1984 Olympic games in Los Angeles; competing on the Spanish Circuit under top rider Xavier Leredde. In 1982 Jalisco sired two-star stallions: Quidam de Revel - capturing 4th in Barcelona, in 1990, and son Quito de Baussy earning the World Champion Title. For an extended timeline, both sons are known as the world's most expensive and successful young stallions in the sport horse world. Furthermore, in 1995, Jalisco B was ranked number one with the WBFSH, competing for this title in top competition - eight international sires competed for this prestigious title.  Following at the 1996 Olympic Games, Jalisco B was famously represented by son's Rochet M, Surcouf de Revel, Vert et Rouge, and Revoulino. Near the end of his life, this phenomenal sire returned to France in 1988 were he stood until his passing.
