It is with great excitement we welcome . . . the World Class Show Jumping Sire PF's Catch (Colman x Calido x Caletto I). "We are absolutely thrilled for this special opportunity to acquire this super sire directly from the Holsteiner Verband and we look forward to the great successes that Catch will bring to our US sport horse breeding program.

PF's Catch is a 9-year-old Grey Holsteiner Stallion, Fully Licensed with Holsteiner Verband, N/N WFFS. We here at Ryan Pedigo Sport Horses are both thrilled and honored for the opportunity to acquire this special stallion directly from the Holsteiner Verband. Catch will be made available to US and Canadian breeders in the beginning of spring 2023. Catch is a well-built strong stallion with correct conformation, an abundance of talents and good looks. Catch has good power and movement, but his highlights are his canter, powerful scope in his jump and overall presence and presentation. He has a bright yet kind disposition and a calm and willing temperament, which heavily influenced his outstanding 9.0 score at his 14-day presentation in Neustadt/Dosse. Catch stood out with his phenomenal free jumping performance during his pre-selection, then this exceptional athlete further proved his excellence during his 2015 Neumunster stallion grading, scoring a thrilling and impressive final jumping score of 9.73, a 9.6 for his canter and technique, a 9.8 for rideability and 10.0 for overall impression.

Catch's first win in performance was at the Jumping State Championships, earning a score of 9.2 under rider Ebba Johansson. Catch continued earning several wins in the young horse jumping classes at the A and L level's during the 2019 season, under rider Maximilian Grafe, then went on to win 4 National Champion qualifiers. Then, under rider Rolf-Goran Bengtsson, Catch continued his performance success with multiple top finishes in the young national tours and international levels, highlighting his 2nd place at the International Horse Show at Opglabbeek. Furthermore, during the 2021 show season, Catch earned top placings in multiple international classes up to the 1.45-meter show jumping divisions. We are thrilled to offer Catch's breeding services straight from his US presence to US and Canadian breeders, as well as the sport horse breeders of the world.

Catch's sire, Colman, is known as one of the best sons of Carthago whose reputation and legacy is known as an exceptional jumping sire in both performance and breeding. Under rider Jos Lansink, Carthago eared multiple Grand Prix wins and competed successfully at the Olympics' twice. His outstanding Dam Sire, Lord, became to be known as one of the most famous stallions of the Holsteiner breed. He went on to produce successful licensed stallions: Chin Chin, Colmander and L.B Convall, to name a few. Colman's very successful and well-known progeny, Catwalk under rider's Robert Whitaker and L.B. Convall, earned many notable successes. Continuing Catwalk's successes, under rider Philipp Weishaupt the rider and horse team captured many great wins at the Aachen and Calgary Grand Prix's, then went on to earn the title of Germany's highest earning jumping horse in 2017.

Catch's dam, the top performing mare Pia, earned top placing results in the 'S' level Jumpers before retiring to become a broodmare. Pia generously passes on her great qualities of athleticism, jumping scope and rideability to her progeny. This dam line is of great importance to the Holstein breed, as well as other international breed societies, continuing to confirm the importance of a stallion's dam in performance and in competition. Impressively, Catch's dams line directly relates to over 890 of the most successful in Holsteiner nobility even before the great Casall - "The line known as - Von Horsten Stem - is a reputation in performance".

Catch's grand-dam sire, Caletto I, truly needs no introduction as he is a very influential and historical part of the sport horse world. Approved in Neumunster in 1977, Caletto I stood at Vornholz in 1978, in Wohrden in 1979, competing from 1981 to 1985 and again from 1986 to 1999 in Langenhagen. Caletto I then resumed his breeding career in 1986 and in the 1991-2000 WBFSH standings Caletto I was represented by 12 progenies, earning them a 28th placement to finish 5th internationally in the 1999/2000 standings.

Overall, upwards of 759 progenies continued into competition. Some of the successors are Cabrol Amicor, winner of the German Derby under rider Holger Wulschner, Cocetto under rider Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Roofs, under rider Jan Tops. He had great success at the 2000 Olympic Games and at the 2002 WEG in Jerez. One of Caletto's best sons, Calvaro, was out of a Capitol mare coming from a Hanoverian mare line. Calvaro was a very successful sire and outstanding competitor who captured many Grand Prix wins, including his impressive win at the CSIO Hickstead. He also competed successfully at the Sydney Olympic Games under rider John Whitaker.

Like their great sire, Caletto I's progenies who measure in the hundreds of thousands, certainly have great national and international presence elevating them to great importance in both the sport horse performance and breeding world.
