ABOUT SIRE: Connor
Having returned to Holstein, Connor has once again succeeded in attracting breeders’ attention. His offspring are now internationally successful, confirming his value as a breeding stallion. The combination of the proven sport blood of Casall and a full sister to Corrado I guarantees high-performing and resilient sport horses. Connor is a big-framed stallion with a particularly strong back and long, correct legs. He is increasingly coming to the fore as a sire, drawing significant breeder interest through the accomplishments of his offspring.
For example, his son Connor JEI, ridden by Martin Fuchs, regularly brings publicity to Connor with top placings on the international scene. Many of his offspring have now reached the highest levels in sport, demonstrating that Connor does not favor a specific bloodline. Mares used for breeding should ideally have a long-enough body and produce offspring with a sweet temperament. His sire, Casall, is a world-renowned international performance sire and one of the most accomplished sport horses of his generation. His progeny—such as Austria with Kent Farrington, Caillou with Karl Cook (USA), Ariso under Jordan Coyle (IRL), Caracas with Jos Verlooy (BEL), Casallvano under Daniel Deusser, and Wunschkind with Eric van der Vleuten (NED)—underline Casall’s exceptional ability to transmit quality and athleticism.
Connor’s dam is a full sister to Corrado I, a licensed stallion who competed internationally under Bo Kristoffersen and Franke Sloothaak from 1991 to 1997. Corrado I claimed Grand Prix victories in Leuwaarden, Dortmund, Aarhus, Neumünster, and Kiel. He established his own sire line within the Holsteiner breed and produced top international performers such as Corrada (Peter Charles), Cosima (Markus Fuchs), Think Twice (Leopold van Asten), Clinton (Dirk Demeersman), and Corradina (Carsten-Otto Nagel). The mare line 6879 ranks among the highest-achieving in the Holsteiner studbook. As far back as the 1950s, this family produced successful mares such as Baden (Hans Evers), Original Holsatia (Fritz Thiedemann), Landlord (Breido Graf zu Rantzau, Ludger Beerbaum), and Lausbub (Achaz von Buchwaldt). Later representatives include Carlina, who competed in the London Olympics with Pius Schwizer for Switzerland, and Cassiato, winner of World Cup classes with Harley Brown (AUS). At six and seven years old, Connor earned numerous wins in young horse classes and jumping competitions up to S level, including winning the first-ever Elmhorn Seven-Year-Old Jumping Championships in 2013. In 2014, he achieved further placings in classes up to S** level. In 2016, Connor was leased to France, where he was ridden by Nicolas Delmotte. This partnership earned strong results at the 1.45m level, including placings at shows in Fontainebleau, Maubeuge, and Bonheiden.
As Connor’s sons and daughters continue to excel in international sport, they are keeping their sire in the spotlight. Top performers include Connor JEI (Martin Fuchs), Charmie (Antonio Alfonso/ITA), and Connor (Tanner Korotkin/USA). His standout daughter Corsica won the Grand Prix at 1.60m in Wellington with Rene Dittmer in December 2023.
In 2022, his son Connorado d'Enfer (Connor–Cayado) was crowned champion of the six-year-old jumping horses in France, while HSH Connor (Connor–Mermus R) was vice champion in the six-year-old eventing category at Le Lion d’Angers.
To date, Connor has produced twelve state premium mares and ten licensed sons in Holstein, including Chubakko, successfully shown by Christian Kukuk, Connect, and the premium stallions Christer and Coruscant.
ABOUT DAM SIRE: Singulord Joter
Bred in Brazil on purely Holsteiner foundations, Singulord Joter boasts a pedigree that is rather unique in warmblood breeding. His sire, Singular Joter II, won the Grand Prix in Porto Alegre and earned high placings in World Cup competitions. The dam’s sire, Aspen, has two Olympic parents:
-
His sire Adelfos, ridden by Markus Fuchs, was a long-time supporter of the Swiss team.
-
His dam Cassiana earned a bronze medal with Luis Felipe Azevedo at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Singulord Joter’s granddam is Leika (by Lord–Sacramento Song xx), who, when bred to Calandus, produced the world-class horse Calais, known for Olympic success with André Johannpeter, including two team bronze medals and a fourth-place individual finish.
Singulord Joter’s own performance confirms his family’s strong genetic inheritance. He completed his 70-day test with a perfect 10 for jumping. He went on to win young horse jumping classes up to medium level and found success in international young horse competitions. Today, Singulord Joter is the sire of many approved sons including Stanfour, Storm, and Singulaer, among others. In 2011, he was the winner of the stallion performance test in Schlieckau.
ABOUT Dam’s Grandsire: Acodetto I
Following in the footsteps of Ahorn Z, Acord II, and Acorado I, Acodetto I represents the fourth generation of the Almé Z bloodline in Klein Offenseth. He successfully competed up to the advanced show jumping level and has developed into an expressive main stud sire, representing traditional Holsteiner virtues: excellent type, outstanding basic gaits, and first-class jumping scope. These qualities were already evident in his 30-day performance test, where he earned a perfect 10 for jumping ability and an average final score of 9.44. Acodetto’s offspring are undeniably the spitting image of their sire—outstanding in type, size, scope, and skill. To date, Acodetto I has produced over seven licensed sons and more than nine state premium mares, including the Reserve Champion Mare at the 2009 Elite Mare Show in Elmshorn. At the 2013 Holstein Elite Show, he presented the "Movement Champion" Colour (dam’s sire: Calido I). He is especially known for siring outstanding mares—over 40 horses from Acodetto daughters are already successful in international sport. One standout is Dark Chocolate (by Casall), who placed at events in London, Basel, Paris, and the Barcelona Games under Denis Lynch. Notably, Dark Chocolate was also bred at the stable of Acodetto’s breeder, Dirk Oldekop. More than 20 of Acodetto’s offspring have successfully campaigned to S-level jumpers in Germany. Well-known international progeny include:
-
Maximo del Castegno / Roberto Prandi (ITA)
-
Acapulco FZ / Luis Felipe de Azevedo (ESP)
-
Atlodetto FZ / Luis Fernando Larrazabal (USA)
-
Lazzaro delle Schiave / Tom Wachman (IRL)
-
Anna Jo / Paris Sellon (USA)
To date, the lifetime earnings of Acodetto’s offspring exceed 1 million euros.
